Requiem for a Psychic Hedgehog

In the distant future beyond our time
Where we find our world covered in filth and grime,
Continuity exists beyond time and space
Does any sort of hero exist in this place?

To that I say, yea, for now it is clear
That a force of catastrophe took it's resting place here
In order to set things right at last
A knight of time must travel to the past.

His telekinesis makes him more than a mortal
With time stones in hand he can conjure the portal
That allows him to travel to what happened before
And leave his mark on presumed ancient lore

This Hero of Time, or so he is named
(Not to be confused with Link, most have claimed)
Learned from a suspicious source of a traitor
who might cause big trouble for Freedom Fighters later

He'll find who it is, and save his world from dying
Let's hope that quite soon he won't have to keep trying
For the traitor's been revealed by a trusted source
Who is the spy? Well, yeah, of course.

Evil bosses beware, have you heard the news?
You can try to survive, but IT'S NO USE!
The glimpse of that future was just the prologue
You can bet things will change thanks to Silver the Hedgehog.
