* Opening credits appear onscreen as Transition starts to play.*

*BIT.TRIP logo appears for a short time and fades. Large text appears onscreen that says...*

Chapter 1: BEAT.

*The camera pans to Commander Video's face. His eyes slowly open, blinking a bit before stopping. He is now awake in this white void. He struggles to stand up in vain.*

Disembodied voice: You are a person...

*Commander Video freezes. He is alarmed by this response and tries to see who the voice is coming from, but there is no one there. *

Disembodied voice 2: You are a new creation...

Disembodied voice 3: You are ready for the corporeal.

Disembodied voice 1: Take a step. It won't be so hard...

*Commander Video looks around and takes note of these voices. Soon, a giant cube approaches, which is comprised out of multiple kinds of beats. CV jumps out of the way, only to get shocked and lose some of his life force.*

CV: *shocked* GCK- What....

Disembodied voice 1: From life comes rhythm and from rhythm comes life... reflect on your next move.

CV: *Mouths what he just heard...* so I should just.... Reflect them back?

*Another beat flies towards CV. This time, he grabs it out of hesitation. Once in his hand, it expands, creating the paddle. He examines it, now knowing what he should do. Various beats fly out at him. He now uses his paddle to block them. The beats make a sound every time they are reflected. They eventually fit in harmony to Transition.*

*Along the way, the background starts to gradually change from a white void to outer space.*

Disembodied voice 2: You are a person. You are a commander of your own destiny.

Disembodied voice 3: You are somebody. You will transmit your actions to the outside world, as a video transmits itself to its audience.

Disembodied voice 1: Name yourself. Be recognizable. Make your voice heard.

*CV begins to think. Something comes to mind.*

CV: I am the Commander....

CV: I am CommanderVideo....

CV: And I am somebody...

*CV stops for a moment and starts trying to walk. He fails the first time... But he makes it the second time. Soon, some of the beats he reflected come together forming a monster. It looks at CV viciously. CV squints in determination.*

CV: I know must be done.

*Descent begins to play in the background as the beat monster begins throwing projectiles at CV, but he hits them back with his beat paddle and blocks them all. They come right back to the creature and hit him directly, damaging his life force. CV continues this until the creature is finally depleted of all his life force. He appears to roar at CV as he vanishes in a flurry of beat explosions.

CV: That wasn’t easy… but what was that thing, anyway?

Disembodied voice 1: That was one of the many rogues among our creations. He has begun his descent into madness, and cannot be trusted.

Disembodied voice 2: You must summon up all of your courage if you shall someday be the one to destroy the Timbletot. But you still have much to learn.

CV: Timble…tot?

*Suddenly, a giant blue planet comes into view. CV watches it in awe.*

CV: That place… it reminds me of something…

Disembodied voice 1: That is the epicenter of all creation. It is where we all come from… and where we all must return to someday.

Disembodied voice 2: It is now time to break free. Leave it all behind and travel towards the unknown, Commander Video.

CV: But… I don’t know how…

Disembodied voice 3: Trust yourself. Use your instincts. Access the MEGA and create your destiny.

CV: The MEGA? I don’t understand…

Disembodied voice 1: You will in time. For now, we must leave you. Your transition is almost complete, Commander Video.

*CV turns around and waits for the voices to return. They never do. He summons up his courage and jumps into the ether. Along the way, he grabs four colored beats, and a rainbow trail appears behind him as he ascends higher and higher into the starry background, leaving the blue planet behind him as he knocks more beats back with his paddle.*

CV: I am doing it! I am growing! I am becoming something bigger! I am… I am…

*The world turns white again as he flies higher and higher, until he sees other figures that look similar to him through a large opening in the void. He flies towards them.

CV: I am… only a man.
